An architect of silence and morning mist.

I am a landscape photographer drawn to fine-art minimalism, morning mist and long exposures. I photograph the Ore Mountains, where I live, as well as landscapes encountered on my travels through Iceland, the Lofoten Islands, Brittany, Normandy and the Azores. Alongside my personal work, I organise photography journeys for small groups – expeditions where finding the right light matters just as much as sharing the experience.

To me, landscape photography is a way of stopping time. It is an endless desire to capture a fleeting moment and breathe life into it. When I photograph, I lose all sense of time. I watch the colours shift and wait patiently for the light, even as the cold slowly seeps into my boots. In that moment, the world becomes a story I write through the viewfinder. Now I would like to share a little of that atmosphere – and the inner calm it brings – with you.

Why Do I Photograph Alone?

People often ask me why I seek solitude. The answer is simple: I am looking for silence. For moments when the world feels entirely my own and the worries of everyday life remain somewhere beyond the horizon.

Before the world wakes, I stand in the morning cold and feel part of something magical. Sometimes I am a little afraid, alone in the empty landscape, but the first ray of light makes that fear disappear. I become a child again, fascinated by the world. In the quiet of the blue hour, I dance with time and colour.

The Art of Returning and Simplifying

I love returning to the same places. Every morning is a different chapter, and every change of light paints a new story on the same canvas.

Over the years, this journey has led me towards fine-art minimalism. I am fascinated by its subtlety and harmony – it feels like a remedy for the chaos of modern life.

Even in an age shaped by artificial intelligence, I believe in the value of a moment truly lived, in craftsmanship and in the human message that no machine can replace.
